Coffee Cake

Ingredients:

Batter

  • 1-1/2 cups “JIFFY” Baking Mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter, cold
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Topping

  • 1 Tbsp. “JIFFY” Baking Mix
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter, cold

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8″ square pan.

For cake, combine baking mix and sugar. Cut in margarine or butter until crumbly. Add milk and egg; mix just until combined. Spread into pan. For topping, combine baking mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter. Bake 25 – 30 minutes. Serve warm.
